There are two concepts I firmly stand behind, when you find yourself staring down doubt in the home decor arena.

The first: When in doubt, put a wreath on it.
A wreath goes with literally anything. ANYTHING. Door? Wreath. Chippy window? Wreath. Old shutters? Wreath. Plain ol’ picture frames? Wreath. Empty ladder? Wreath. Kitchen cabinetry? Wreath. Vent hood? Wreath. Naked wall? Wreath.
The second: When in doubt, put it under a glass cloche.
Pinecones? Cloche. Cakes? Cloche. Succulents or houseplants? Cloche. Chippy candle sticks? Cloche. Tiny bird nest? Cloche. Mossy balls? Cloche. Easter eggs? Cloche. Birdhouse? Cloche. Old clock? Cloche. Music paper? Cloche. Books? Cloche. Air? Put it in a glass cloche, for heaven’s sakes!
But guess what? I don’t have a glass cloche!
I never knew what to do with them, so I never bothered to buy any. Same for those apothecary jars (guess what my third rule of decorating will soon be?!) Now that I have seen the light, I have done some digging around to find awesome, beautiful, affordable glass cloches around from my favorite retailers!!
I rather like the ones with no base, but the ones on the pedestal give me all the heart eyes. I have so many random things laying around that would look cute in them!
Can I put a succulent in there and not kill it? Can I put a tiny houseplant in there? Oooh, a terrarium!? Do you have a cloche (or a lot of cloches – is that plural, or is cloche already plural?) What’s in yours?!
